‘8100 ft’ follows the story of a young idealistic filmmaker, Ricky Keane, as he makes his first feature film. Immediately Ricky’s script is morphed from a witty romantic comedy into a slasher zombie flick with all the cultural undertones of a true ‘kiwiana’ story.

Initially caving into the political and personal pressure’s of making a film he begins to learn how to use this to his own advantage. However in the process Ricky ends up compromising not only his artistic vision but all that is important to him in his personal life.

After losing everything the last thing that can gain him a shred of personal dignity is how the audience will react on opening night.
