Death on a Boat

A “Magnificent B” FILM
WRITTEN BY Cass Jones & Michael Fincham

The S.S. Dellington sets sail from England to America in May 1940, When the weather turns dire, all the passengers scramble for the life boats and the ship is lost to the ocean.

Come the next morning three men find themselves together on a life boat seperated from the rest of the survivors. Having no navigational or survival equipment and nothing else to do, they each begin to tell each other the story of how they got to where they are.

Harry Johnson, who left his job at a freezing works in New Zealand to move to England, shortly thereafter joined the RAF but had been discharged due to debilitating injuries. Joseph Goldman, a Jewish baker, who successfully fled to England, however was separated from his family and has plans to meet them in America. Alwin Jansen, had worked at the Phillips factory in light bulb production, fled the country for fear of invasion and the hope of a better life in America.

As the men tell their stories it becomes clear to them that none of them is letting on the whole truth.
Each man has a secret, and as they become hungrier, more sun baked and more delirious their conversations become more frank and less sane.
