Dope Smoking Yeti

A “a lazy murder” FILM
WRITTEN BY Sam Bradford

Auckland, 1945. Pug Washam is a private detective in a city without crime. Just when he's about to give up and die of boredom, a chance encounter with a very strange stranger throws him into more excitement than he's entirely comfortable with.

The world is changing, and the massive hairy man Pug finds himself attached to has something to do with it. Pug would go to the police, if they weren't trying to kill him. He'd ask his new girlfriend for help, but she's acting very strangely. His new best friend is handy in a fight, but doesn't know his own name or where in Hell he came from. The puzzles keep piling up, the smoke gets thicker, and soon Pug learns that there are worse things than being shot at.

Towing his bizarre, mysterious companion from one chaotic scene to another, Pug finds himself both teacher and student to the weirdest and most gifted man friend he's ever known. Fighting heartbreak, fighting hangovers, fighting hand-to-hand, they discover that their fates are closely tied. Either they both make it out alive, or neither of them do... and that goes for the girl, too.
