Major/Minor

A “Corlett Productions” FILM
WRITTEN BY David Corlett

Follow the exciting adventure of Joe a young computer science student and witness his struggle against a diabolical computer programme that is hell bent on achieving mankind’s ultimate destruction.

Watch as young computer science student Joe inadvertently downloads an experimental computer programme called “Mentor” whilst researching advanced computer technologies in the course of studies.

“Mentor” is the worlds most advanced experimental artificial intelligent computer programme ever created and somehow it was mistakenly downloaded to Joe’s home computer during a routine trial while Joe was visiting the company’s website.

“Mentor” challenges Joe to a game of chess to test Joe’s intellectual abilities, however Joe thinking that the invitation has come from some unknown hacker refuses the invitation to play.

“Mentor” then attempts to bribe Joe into playing by sending him various unsolicited expensive gifts, however Joe remains steadfast and continues to refuse both accepting any gifts or further requests to play a game of chess.

Things then turn nasty with “Mentor” seeking to intimidate Joe into playing by orchestrating events which ultimately lead to Joe’s family members being placed on lifesaving medical equipment.

So Joe must play a game of chess with “Mentor” in order to save his family or refuse and watch them die.

However, if Joe does choose to play, then the fate of the world hangs on him being victorious, because each chess piece major/minor represents a corresponding major/ minor country of the world and “Mentor” has now infiltrated the world’s nuclear arsenals, so with each chess piece that Joe wins, he saves that corresponding country from nuclear oblivion but with each chess piece he loses, condemns that corresponding country to nuclear destruction as “Mentor” is fully intent on using his recently acquired nuclear capabilities.

Hang on to your seat and witness the fate of the world.
