Brace yourself for the action packed quirky comedy that is "Marumaru". Based on the Japanese folk tale Momotaro, "Marumaru" is a high octane rock and roll thrill ride.

A great man once said "Life is like a teenage boy,it's always hard" That's a lesson Momo knows all too well. With over bearing parents he escapes his turbulent home life through music. Obsessed with music and inspired by his heroes words he leaves his small mountain home to follow his dream of one day too becoming a musician.

Momo travels to neranaimachi a lawless city run by ruthless gangs and haven for crime and drugs. There he meets a washed up rock star named Sunny. The two are direct opposites. Sunny is a homeless addict way past his prime who has been currupted by the dying city where as Momo is still pure hearted and believes the best in people. The two soon form an unlikely bond over their shared love for music.

Sunny seeking redemption from his lifetime of sins decides to join Momo on his quest in changing the world through music. Life is not quite how Momo imagined it would be and it isn't long before he is struggling to survive. He needs his mentor Sunny to save him from the harsh realities of the world but Sunny can't even save himself from his own inner demons. Together they battle the elements, famine and against the gangs that rule the city

The only thing Momo has is hope but maybe thats all he needs. In the face of destruction he stands defiant. A smile on his face and a fire in his heart.
