A “Meehan Brothers” FILM

When a mother gives birth to twin boys, Tom and James, one of them is small and weak and sadly dies after his heart stops just two weeks after his birth. The parents do their best to put it behind them and concentrate their efforts to raise their son, Tom.

Years later, at 8 years old Tom develops an imaginary friend who plays with him and cares for him. The parents are not too concerned, as these things they are told are very normal occurrences. Except that Toms imaginary friend is named James. The parents put it down to coincidence and try to ignore it, but when things start to go wrong it seems there could be more to the appearance of James than first meets the eye.

A series of odd and concerning events begin happening. When Tom makes a mess in the bathroom he is told off and sent to his room. Later the parents find their room trashed and bed slashed. A boy at school pushes Tom off the playground and then in a freak accident falls from a high platform and badly breaks his arm. It seems as if Tom’s imaginary friend is no friend to anybody who upsets Tom.

Nobody believes their story but Andy and Jane, the parents, become convinced that James exists and is to blame for what is happening, but who can they turn to for help and what will happen when James feels threatened? In desperation they take Tom to psychics, hypnotists and even the church to try to solve their problem but this only makes it worse. Now the real danger begins as Andy and Jane are hunted from beyond the grave.
