When a cunning magpie steals a veteran scarecrow’s silver button eye he must fight to retrieve it. As his eye is taken further and further away from him, the scarecrow is given a greater perspective of the world beyond the cornfield where he stands guard, and the antagonising magpie soon becomes ally.
The scarecrow must now find a way to hide and maintain the only friendship he has ever had from the violent farmer who created him, transcend his inhuman existence and escape from the crucifix above the cornrows that is his prison.
