With a long, hot summer stretching ahead of them, Sarah Miller and a few of her closest childhood friends are easily convinced by her wayward Uncle to lend a helping hand with a demolition project on Shaker Island at the far end of the lake. Lured by the promise of easy cash and much needed freedom from their over protective parents, the six friends arrive at the island and it soon appears that things aren't quite what they seem.

As the days pass, old rivalries and past disagreements begin to surface amongst the once close group of friends and Sarah starts to notice strange happenings around the island. When her curiosity is aroused to the point where she embarks on an investigation of her own, she learns of the violent and disturbing history of the island and discovers that it still holds a terrible secret that will threaten them all.
