Bloody Paradise

Honeymooners on a remote Fijian island fall prey to a pair of murderous tour guides. They must use all their wits to get off the island alive.

A “Fumes Production” FILM
WRITTEN BY Thomas Sainsbury

Virginia fell in love with the dashing optometrist Hamish when he tested her poor eyesight and gave her new retro glasses. Their whirlwind romance culminates in a honeymoon in Fiji.

The newly-weds spend their days drinking cocktails, lounging on the beach, and talking with other eccentric western holidaymakers at the expensive Laguna Resort.

At the local bar they meet the charismatic Koch brothers. Together with a local Tunde, they offer cruises to some of the rarely seen visual wonders of the outer islands. Hamish and Virginia decide to take one of these ‘authentic, no frill’ cruises to the Crystal Lagoon. This is their first mistake.

Virginia and Hamish never make it to the Lagoon. Instead the couple find themselves on a deserted island running for their lives after the Koch brothers make their motives clear – a little taunting and slice and dice of their guests. After making their escape, Hamish hides Virginia and goes to find her fallen glasses, but never returns.

Distraught, disorientated by her natural vision, and desperately alone Julia must fight the elements, dodge the whispering chatter and ultimately battle her psychotic aggressors if she is to survive and make it back to safety.
