Curse of the Were Kiwi

When a group of young travellers ignore the conservation warnings from NZ locals the landscape teaches them a brutal lesson.

A “Stephen Geen and Nicola Peeperkoorn” FILM
WRITTEN BY Stephen Geen and Nicola Peeperkoorn

The classic New Zealand splatter film is back. 1985, summer, five young Australian travellers arrive on the sunny shores of beautiful Aoteoroa. Unfortunately many other tourists have decided to vacation at the same spot. Disappointed by the crowd, our young naive friends decide to travel off the beaten path with a rebellious local. Ignoring warnings from the local elders and dismissing the large caution signposting they set-up camp and party it up in the local kiwi reserve destruction falling in their wake. Only one voice of reason can be heard within the group, the kiwi expat.

The following day the expat falls ill. None of the group pay any attention as they continue their destructive party. But as night falls that evening, he begins to transform. As they sit around the campfire New Zealand’s mother nature claims her revenge in the form of a monstrous were-kiwi. Nature at its beautiful bloody best.
