Roland 2: Pound of Fle$h

A group of disgraced finance company directors become the unwitting victims of a wheelchair-bound man with an axe to grind.

A “Wendell Cooke” FILM
WRITTEN BY Wendell Cooke, Mike Yule

Graham, Derek, Susan, Gina and Mark are masters-of-the-universe corporate high flyers responsible for the collapse of New Zealand's largest finance company. The five directors were prosecuted for fraud, but hid details of their dodgy schemes and secret trusts from the jury and were subsequently given sentences of home detention. Graham, unrepentant about the trail of crushed investors' dreams and broken livelihoods, reprograms the group's detention bracelets to give them a holiday at a plush corporate retreat where they can relax and unwind after the lengthy and publicly embarrassing trial.
A short time into their stay the group are joined by a genial man in a wheelchair, Roland, whose zest for life enthuses them to partake in the retreat's activities – archery, claybird shooting, knife throwing, and a clifftop driving range. A series of progressively more serious “accidents” start to occur. The group are reluctant to seek medical help for fear of drawing attention to the flouting of their sentences, but change their minds when they learn that Roland was one of their duped investors, and he's modified that wheelchair. Cut off from the outside world and picked off one by one, the race is on to trigger their bracelets before Roland can extract his pound of flesh...
