Tick Tick Tick

Something is playing with time, and unemployed drop-out Ben is the only one who sees it happening. In a world where reality can change in an instant, how do you take control of your fate?

A “ZPHYR” FILM
WRITTEN BY Jack Barrowman

After dropping out of secondary school to sell drugs, nineteen year old Ben heads to his twenties like a tired child in an old playground.

After a long night, Ben catches a late, empty bus. The bus enters a tunnel as Ben is dozing off. When he wakes, he finds the bus still heading through the tunnel, the back seats replaced by an old man at a little desk, working on a tiny golden watch. The man offers Ben the watch, and he takes it, and wakes in a playground, watch in hand.

Then things start to change.

People disappear, and are forgotten. Those around him change completely, and never remember how they were before. Nothing can be trusted; nothing is true. No matter how hard he tries to get rid of it, the watch stays with him. Ben’s life begins to fall apart as reality around him changes drastically - and he is the only one who notices.

Yet he keeps seeing the man. On the internet, on the TV, walking down the street, watching him in the night, in photos on his girlfriend’s walls and his grandmother’s mantelpiece - who is this man? Why does he feel so familiar?

Is Ben going insane? Or is he the only witness to a massive conspiracy?
