We live in a world where social media has expanded far beyond the limits of personal privacy. Anything and everything goes. Kerwin, a shy unemployed writer is no exception as he unwittingly achieves popularity through blogging about his his stool characteristics online. Amongst his blog followers is a cute scientist named Virginia, with whom he dreams of meeting. As Kerwin's online following gains momentum, he is thrust into the lime light by mainstream media and offered corporate sponsorships by several food, beverage and toiletry companies in exchange for product placement on his now world famous blog. Kerwin's new found celebrity status gives him the confidence to ask out his online crush Virginia. She accepts and romance blossoms.
Everything appears to be moving in positive directions for Kerwin until he starts to develop health issues and unusual mood swings. As an observant scientist, Virginia, curious to discover the cause of the changes in Kerwin, takes a sample of his stool to test in her lab and together with his blog entries, she uncovers a shocking scandal.
