Cries from the underground

A “Petersen Entertainment Productions” FILM
WRITTEN BY Edwin Petersen

Taylor is a fourteen year old, junior champion kick boxer. His parents are struggling financially and are about to sell their house. They find out about an illegal fight circuit that pays big money to the winners, from one of the other parents at Taylor’s club. Taylor convinces them to let him fight after they watch some kids cage fighting in an abandoned warehouse. There is nothing out of the ordinary with the fights that they witnessed, except there are no rules, and winner is by way of knockout or submission.

There are some men making big money out of gambling on the fights and Taylor’s parents put a big bet on Taylor to win, which he does. His parents start getting out of debt. After several fights Taylor draws the attention of Mr Smith, the owner of a stable of fighters, and the man in charge of the fights. His fighters are the best that Taylor and his parents have ever seen. Mr Smith offers Taylor a fight against one of his fighters. If Taylor wins, the money will be enough to pay the last of the debt. Taylor has the fight and wins. After the fight, Taylor makes the discovery that Mr Smiths fighters are caged up like prisoners when they are not fighting. They are all missing children. They warn him that he will be next. His parents will die in an accident or go missing, like theirs did. They ask for his help to escape.

Taylor tells his parents. They can’t go to the police. Some of the gamblers are police officers and work for Mr Smith. Taylor no longer fights for money. Now he fights for his family. Can they find a way out? Can they help the other children? Will they survive?
