Cul-de-sac

A “Alamo Films” FILM
WRITTEN BY Alan Morrison

What do an elderly superhero, a gangster, a party animal, a noise control officer and a samurai have in common? They’ve all ended up, through some way or another, at the end of the road.

Frank, the elderly superhero, used to be the jewel in the city’s crown. However, as the decades passed he fell into obscurity. He has just found out he has got terminal cancer, and has only a few months left to live. The last thing he wants is to die helpless and alone, without purpose – he wants to die for something – or for someone.

Tommy, a gangster from America has tracked down a package that was stolen from him to the cul-de-sac. He and his men move into a neighbouring house (with the owners still inside) right next door to the thieves who stole from him. Tommy only has vengeance on his mind.

Jenny; a beautiful, popular and social girl is throwing a party in the cul-de-sac. As she does the neighbourly thing and lets her neighbours know about the party, a bizarre offer is placed on her lap from a suited resident she has never met before (Tommy).

Matthew, the noise control officer, is in love with Jenny. He gets a call about a noise complaint in his own street – from Jenny’s house. When he arrives however, there is a lot more than just noise that needs to be controlled.

Mami, the samurai, is an outsider. Her family was gunned down by a ruthless gangster (Tommy) and although she speaks no English, she has found her own special way of reaching Tommy...

Every story has its own genre and style, and each story intertwines with one another, creating interesting and bizarre dynamics and a story unlike any other.
