Alex is living it up in Europe when he gets the call. His mother has died suddenly and his grief-stricken father needs him back in N.Z.
When he gets there things are worse than he had hoped. His father has found comfort in a whiskey bottle and the family business, the famous Warkworth Cheese Shop, is falling to pieces. Instead of escaping back overseas, Alex decides to stay and try to turn things around.
Everything is looking up when his new home-made cheese begins jumping off the shelf and he becomes the talk of the town. But could the arrival of the beautiful and sassy Tess turn Alex's life upside down?
