Electronics for Sale

A “Magnificent B” FILM
WRITTEN BY Cass Jones & Michael Fincham

Liam Reece grew up in Nelson, a town where a kid could go down to the electronics shop and buy some resistors and LED's and, armed with a soldering iron, could turn his toys into robots.

Now in his 30's all the stores of his childhood memories have started to sell out, now retailing mostly TV's and Laptops. Fed up with this lack of options for electronics hobbyists, Liam opened his own shop.

Having only recently opened, and hobby electronics not being the industry it once was, the store is yet to take off in a big way, however Liam has managed to gain a small but steady customer base of unique characters and has been able to hire a full-time employee, Nick, a recent high school graduate, who's friends like to hang around the store but never buy more than a few dollars of gear at a time.

Liam has only ever enjoyed moderate success with women, but while waiting in line for a bank appointment he met Janice, who seemed like the sort of person he'd like to get to know, so is looking forward to seeing her again at lunch.

Through his experiences with his customers, staff and friends, the viewer is immersed in a slice of the every day life of a man with a passion for hobby electronics.
