EMBRACE

A “Stoic Films&Babelsberg Films” FILM
WRITTEN BY Herbie Berger&Petra Vieting

Edgar is a 35year old suicidal wannabe Master-card holder. Between picking up fallen crockery he ponders the purpose of life and the stupidity of success. Losing everything he finally has reached rock bottom. His passive acceptance of his long term partner just having headed off with a lesbian lover hatched a proposal. He has now found a way out of his personal misery. The G-plan will propel him far beyond his past achievements.
Tabatha, a tween, boisterous, red-haired and tongue-lashing is browsing in an old, surrounded by nothingness, mingle-mangle shop. A well dressed but weathered man clumsily trips over her with the full impact of his 73kilograms of bodyweight. This is the beginning of a hilarious black comedy; taking place after the confusing weeks following a natural disaster. Like a klutz Edgar works through his bucket list of final wishes towards the perfect end, having no idea what the right and left hand are doing. On top of all this Tabatha seems to pop up wherever he goes by sheer incident. As the story progresses they meet many unique people with quirky personalities giving them a colorful insight into the richness of life.
