A “No Hands” FILM
WRITTEN BY Josh O'Neill

The Artists

Adelita Steinbrunner has the controversial reputation of creating artworks from her own blood and body tissue. Whether it’s an extreme case of self-mutilation or a fascination with the macabre, the obsessive German appears to be hurtling towards her own destruction.

Hody Chase is a surfer, amateur philosopher, sculptor and installation artist. Hody holds the record for the most expensive piece of art ever sold with his peanut butter sculpture “L’Homme qui surf.” Hody is a wanker.

Eleven year old Nevaeh Smith is a child prodigy who uses her photographic memory to paint incredible abstractions. Her mother keeps the money flowing in with social networking and internet sales but Nevaeh just wants to become a teenager.

The Curator

Milton Henry chose New Zealand to present his artists as he’s a huge fan of The Lord of the Rings, his wife always wanted to see some Maoris and he’s wanted for tax evasion in his home country.

The Exhibition

Adelita’s blood letting escalates to the point of endangering her life and she enlists the help of a surgeon to appease the local authorities that don’t want a famous dead body on their plate. Nevaeh’s only release are the local kids who teach her how to have fun and every day she gets a step closer to standing up to her oppressive mother. Hody continues to make contemporary works out of materials from Bunnings and bores the locals stupid with his hack philosophizing.

The exhibition must be a success or it’s the end of Milton Henry and a whole lot of blood won’t stop him from putting on “The Exhibition of the Century.”
