Downhill

A “Little Fighter Films” FILM
WRITTEN BY Hilleke Doevendans

Four girls plan an epic mountain biking adventure weekend. With helmet cams to record the craziness. They ride hard, they ride fast... No brakes, no boys.

The weekend is going to plan, until they hit a spot they've been warned about. A stretch of the track that is tapu. They argue about whether to go through or bike around, but the detour is too long so they ride on.
Then one of the girls sees something... Was that a young boy in the bush? She takes a quick second glance which is a colossal mistake. She crashes into a gully and her leg snaps.
The other girls catch up and find her. They try to help her up but she can't walk. They’re hours away from the van and it’s only an hour till sunset.

Things start to go downhill. They start blaming each other for their predicament. They have no cell phone reception and the girl with the broken leg is freaking out... She sees things no one else can see. They’re lost and isolated, alone in the wild.

Who was the boy in the bush?
Are the girls being punished for crossing tapu land?
Will they find their way out before it’s too late?

All of this is recorded on their cameras...
