Fish Bird Man is a mutant revenge film noir.

Steven is lonely and broke in his inner city bed sit when he gets the phone call telling him of the disappearance of his father from the family farm. He returns home and when the local authorities show little interest in his father’s case he starts an investigation of his own. Spurred on by strange findings he digs deep into a sordid, corrupt and violent rural underbelly where water and pollution are central to an underlying current of greed. When he gets too close to the truth, the outcome will be terrifying for everyone involved.

It’s like The Crow wandered into In My Father’s Den and was hit with a Brick wrapped in Blue Velvet.
