A “Storeyteller Films / Bus of the Undead” FILM
WRITTEN BY Craig Storey

A grey servant of the 'giant machine and society' discovers a fraile and foreign object on his rounds: a tiny green thing.
A fragile relic of a long-ago age. The Machine & Society now cover the earth with greyness and orderly oppression.

Concealed and nurtured in his grey cubicle, the tiny green thing grows.
His life-mate appreciates the beauty of this minor miracle and, against her mates wishes, tells her co-workers.
The word soon spreads and the 'plant', (the old-books said that was its name,) gathers admirers and enemies.

The servant is summoned to The Great Hall before the High Workers Council. He and his plant must explain, they are to be placed on trial;
The Servant gather, their number grows, many have abandoned their work-cycles to observe the commotion. Soon the Great Hall is full.

While the trial unfolds, the Plant, now full grown and mature, stands erect, groans and spasms, and a deep hush fills the Hall.
Officials and workers crowd about the plant, wondering what will happen next. There is a great Eruption as the plant spews forth
brightly-coloured sparkling-scintillating pollen out, out into the great Hall, colours filling the air, unseen in living memory.

A joyous sound as the pollen falls delicately upon worker and official alike, colouring them in radiant hues and fabulous colours,
but delight and joyful outpouring gives way to a rising wail of misery and pain as the pollen, now settled on every face and hand,
consumes and corrodes the flesh and eventually bones, leaving a soft pulpy residue rolling to the gutters and silence as the machines spin down.

In a different citystate, another worker, dressed in unflattering blue, makes a startling discovery; A small green shoot.
