Adriana Becketts, a young girl growing up in a rural New Zealand town strikes the hearts of the townsfolk with her beauty and intelligence. Her charisma, charm and perfect innocence scores her friends, lovers, and everything she ever wanted. At every chance Adriana could get, she would manipulate people to her own ends, no matter the cost. Even her oldest and closest friend Mona remains under her thumb, a pawn in the many schemes Adriana has in testing mankind’s ignorance.
But when she discovers Mona hanging dead in her bedroom, Adriana’s life is plunged into a hellish nightmare. Losing her friends, loved ones, everything she had ever fought for, Adriana’s careful manipulation turns sour, and she begins to lose grip on reality. Isolation envelops the world around her, psychotic nightmares tear through her mind and she finds a strange, fractured doll watching her every move. Adriana finds that the only thing that could bring her peace, the truth about Mona, about the harrowing, twisted doll, may very well be what destroys her.
