A post apocalyptic 2012 world, modern technology is no longer works, resources are few and few people have the ability to hunt and gather so the fight amongst each other for what is left. There are frequent after shocks so the ground is unstable and there is no way to predict when a earthquake will happen. Modern hospitals have broken down and there is no way to treat illness. The film follows a group of university students who had their whole lives ahead of them now fight for survival. Most of the characters are drastically changed due to having to compromise their morals in order to survive. Through a series of flashbacks we see what the characters were like prior to this event.
