'ZOMBIE MUMS'

“The Stepford Wives meets Dawn of the Dead” ***** Leonard Maltin, Hollywood Review

Deep in suburban coffee groups, the Twenty First century baby-boom has wreaked havoc on the bodies, minds and souls of four ex-career women. A solo mum, dead from exhaustion, sits unnoticed on a park bench. Her slowly decaying corpse harbours a deadly virus, which is transferred by flies to the nearby Greendale coffee group. Infected, they slowly morph into zombies.

But this transformation goes unnoticed by husbands, partners and children. The Zombie Mums are still performing the basic functions of a wife and mother. They just seem like their usual selves; grumpy, glassy-eyed, sleep-deprived, unkempt and slow-moving. The infection spreads from coffee group to coffee group, city to city, country to country.

The Zombie Mums, after exhausting the Mad Butcher’s meat supplies, designate new ‘Meating Places’, their primary targets are nubile young women fresh from gyms, yoga, and Pilates. This source of feeding is a fountain of youth, keeping the Zombie Mums ‘dead-alive’.

On their return from self-imposed measles quarantine, two Mums discover something is horribly wrong with their Greendale Coffee Group. This is much, much worse than ‘Post Natal Depression’ - this is ‘Pustulant Near Death’. Armed with tips from Google on how to fight zombies, they discover there is an antidote. But to tackle the hordes of Zombie Mum’s, it will take tenacity, strength, and...Lucy Rawness!
