Life after the zombie epidemic is hard. Especially in New Zealand. It is now 5 years since the infection and 3 years since they found the cure. But the cure is expensive and New Zealand, like many other countries, could only afford so much. To bring more money in, the government puts on death matches for wealthy investors using the remaining zombies.
Ethan, a former zombie, is one of many containment officers keeping an eye on the undead until they are taken for the games. He is trying his hardest to move on with his life and get enough money to move to the zombie free zone, but between the government raids, the compulsory zombies help group and the strange new girl on his street nothing seems to be going his way. Added to his newfound taste for human flesh, he’s beginning to wonder how much the cure really worked…
