Every 1000 years the devil gets a chance to redeem himself. Guess what – this is the year Lucifer has had enough. Tired of always being cast as the bad boy, he wants to take the straight and narrow path to redemption. He wants the good life – there’s only one thing standing in his way the neighbours!

A “Talpidae” FILM
WRITTEN BY Keith Mole

God and Lucifer are having a heated discussion. One of them is pleading for the chance to change.
The doors open and out walks a very dejected ‘devil’. He spins a globe of the world in the outer office and shuts his eyes. He stabs his finger into the globe, stopping it. His finger has stopped on the North Island of New Zealand (“oh for God’s sake”)
He moves into a property as Louis Seafair, his neighbours the ‘Samuels’ a god fearing – (well sort of) dysfunctional family. But as good neighbours they greet him with cookies and an angel cake baked by Grandma (Maude). Maude is not happy – she see’s straight through the devils disguise after all – she’s a witch. She tries to warn the family. They all ignore her – she’s a fruit cake anyway.
Act 2
Out in the suburb there are some pretty gruesome goings on. Guess who gets the finger pointed at him? Murder, crucifixions, blood flows in the streets. It looks as if someone is trying to please the ‘dark lord’.
The stakes become much higher when Maude’s granddaughter is kidnapped by one of the satanic killers. She’s in mortal danger.
She asks Lou to help.
Act 3
Maude gets her pose of witches and warlocks together, all members of ‘Grey Power’ and they start to hunt for the girl. Lou gets a visit from God. God asks him why he won’t help. He tells god, he’s worried in case it’s a trick and he’ll be exposed.
God tells him it’s his decision to make.
Lou tracks down the creep and saves Maude’s granddaughter. He realises that he enjoys catching theses bad guys. But most of all extracting revenge, if not for himself – for others.
God meets with Lou in his office and because of the good deed – he grants him one day on earth each year, until the next 1000 years have passed. T
Maude turns up in Gods office.
