A Baker's Dozen

13 strangers wake up one by one in a room with no obvious exits, no idea how they got there and no idea why, but they do know it's getting hotter every second.

A “Nils Wilson” FILM
WRITTEN BY Nils Wilson

A Baker’s Dozen finds 13 people, seemingly strangers awaken one by one in plain white room with a strangely tiled floor. There's no windows, doors or exits of any obvious kind. The only things in the room with them is an analogue countdown on the wall clicking downwards from 30 minutes, a temperature gauge hovering around the 20 degree mark and searing bright lights high above them. One of the strangers is in state far worse than the rest. She’s huddled herself in the corner of the room rocking backwards and forwards on her haunches muttering “not again, not again...” to know one but herself and staring intently at the tiled floor.
As the time counts down the temperature goes up. Panic sets in as the temperature hits 40 degrees and looks set on reaching 100 by the time the time the clock hits 0. As the strangers look at each other for answers a man and a woman find that they have a distance connection with one another; we flash back into the real world to see that they had met at a friend’s party briefly one night. On the instant that the connection is confirmed the lights go out and it’s pitch black. Screams engulf the room but whose? The air in the room rushes out in a great gasp and the lights come back on as fast as they went out. Now there are only 12 people in the room...alive. The man who announced he knew the woman is dead, violently gashed and torn. The rush of air has set the temperature gauge back to 20 degrees but the countdown is also back to 30minutes...and counting.
