Amanda's Bracelet

When a mysterious bracelet comes into her possession, Amanda's fortunes begin to change. But terror and chaos begin to follow her, and the seemingly malevolent bracelet could be luring her into a trap.

A “Silvereye” FILM
WRITTEN BY Aaron Lopez

Jaspers, Jets, Sunstones and Sapphires; that was the business of Amanda McCain. A gemstone jewellery-maker and New Age consultant by trade, her hopes and ambitions have been crippled by stark reality. With only a small flat she can no longer rent, and a young sister left under her care, her future does not bode well.

Through a bizarre turn of events, Amanda comes into a possession of a mysterious bracelet: old gold chains link unpolished rocks, all different shades of purple in colour, but of completely unknown origin. Told that it would bring her the luck she requires, Amanda cautiously begins to wear it. Not long after, she receives money to pay rent, and she can afford full school lunches for her sister; and she can even buy herself a nice bottle of wine.

But she's not oblivious to the curious evictions, illness, insanities, and even death, that the bracelet leaves in her wake. And the horrific dreams are becoming more frequent and unforgiving. Where did this bracelet come from? What does it want? And where is it leading her?

Inspired by the paranoia of Rosemary's Baby, the pondering of Wild Strawberries, and the last five minutes of [REC], Amanda's Bracelet is a no-holds-barred descent into madness. There are no happy endings here.
