A Nordic cult, worshipers of the midgard serpent Jörmungandr, attempt to bring about the apocalypse through dark rituals and the apex of fear within a group of entrapped civilians. Among those chosen is Eric, an already broken man struggling to come to terms with a messy divorce.
He feels stranded in a desolate household with his distanced but caring teenage daughter he is unable to see the miraculous part she should play in his life until the moment he loses her. To maximize the fear of it's victims the cult release a hallucinogen (extracted from the venom of a snake) through the ventilation of Eric's law firm. Trapped within the building surrounded by a horde of afflicted and deranged civilians, Eric is forced to relive the most disturbing moments in his life.
In confronting the memories and regrets of his past, he is lead towards the conclusion that he cannot change what once was, that the birth of his daughter was the single greatest event in his life and to right the suffering his life has inflicted on her he must clean up his act. But first he must gain freedom, sanity and the daughter taken from him.
