Gravedust

A new party pill causes an outbreak of suicides and violence in the underground club scene while intensely amplifying a young woman's psychic abilities; making her the target of malevolent forces both natural and supernatural.

A “Killer Ingenuity” FILM
WRITTEN BY Rajneel Singh

There is a new party drug on the scene - Glory, Glow, Pearly Gates or simply 'G' - and it is said to give you a feeling of unparalleled divine elation and an almost spiritual awakening. But it has another name that is only whispered in the darkest corners of the city - 'Gravedust' - and rumours say that the pill not only triggers violence and suicide in some users, but also allows them to communicate with the dead.

Lucy is a lonely student, but her life has been opened up to fresh possibilities by Jamie, her new boyfriend who guides her through a world of underground clubs and designer drugs. But when Jamie starts taking gravedust without Lucy's knowledge, things get very strange. He has surreal visions and speaks in the voice of spirit called 'The Dweller'. He withdraws from Lucy and the world until, one morning, he vanishes without a trace. Soon Lucy starts to have visions too: nightly visitations by ghosts and glimpses of monstrous entities lurking the shadows. To her horror, she realizes that her body has been invaded by gravedust, passed onto her during sex with Jamie.

Terrified, Lucy's path crosses that of a strange demonic woman - whom only she can see - called 'Doctor Goodnight'. She explains that Jamie has been taken by the organization manufacturing and distributing gravedust. Now walking on the edge of two worlds, Lucy's only chance to find Jamie is by embracing the psychic powers she is developing and communicating with the monstrous apparitions haunting her city. Armed with a bag gravedust and guided by Doctor Goodnight, Lucy sets off into the twilight world, unsure of whether she will recover her lover - or her sanity - again.
