Luca does not like sleep. She uses unorthodox measures to avoid it. Sleep brings paralysis, brings terror, brings death. She envies the peaceful slumber of her mother who lies in a coma.
When Luca must finally succumb to sleep, she awakens to find she is covered in blood. Terrifying nightmares begin to occur, each more violent and ferocious than the last. The body count in waking life grows with every sleep Luca takes.
Each horrific slumber takes its toll on Luca physically. Her body starts to decompose. With Luca's mind and body unravelling, her mother begins to show signs of the virus as well. A race against time begins.
