Kuilu

In the decaying walls of the University of Auckland something is living. In the deep of the labyrinthine Human Sciences Building an alien pulse sounds. When it calls, you can’t say no. A.J. can taste it. The place where flesh and plaster become one. In a baffling and horrifying realm where the subconscious is manifested, she must find answers within the depths of her own mind. Answers which lead only one way – down.

A “Brian Cham and Virginia Woodson” FILM
WRITTEN BY Brian Cham and Virginia Woodson

Psychological terrors. Disturbing atmosphere. Surreal imagery. Kuilu is pure evil.

In the decaying walls of the University of Auckland, students are going missing in the underground labyrinthine space of the Human Sciences Building.

Built to seal off an ancient evil below, the building breathes and moves with a mind of its own. It is alive. A shape-shifter which mocks logic. It thinks, it chooses. Those desired by its sentient walls are called from deep within, and there they stay.

After following cryptic and intimate messages, psychology student A. Jasper enters Human Sciences Building but finds there is no way out and only one path to follow - down. The building doesn’t want her to leave. Now she is trapped in its baffling, horrifying realm where the subconscious is manifested into reality. A.J. must find answers within the depths of her own mind…
