Life In The Dead Zone

Meet Stanley George, Pest and Infection Services Officer for Kittworth City Council. As his workload unexpectedly increases this documentary discovers that working a dead end job can be infectious.

A “Gabriel Page and Peter Tonks” FILM
WRITTEN BY Gabriel Page and Matt Sharp

Stanley George has worked in Kittworth City Council’s pest control for over 30 years. Two years on from the devastating Human Moleculitis outbreak and there’s a new pest in town. With half the population infected, a potential cure and the rise of the Zombie rights movement the Government passed the Infected Persons Protection Act.

Now they’re Stanley’s responsibility. Through Stanley’s light hearted, calm and passive approach to his job he shows us that this isn’t a job for the light hearted, it takes someone with smarts and compassion. Someone who understands that success in the job can only be measured by eventual redundancy. “Life in the Dead Zone” is a unique look into the daily workings of another dead end job.
