At fifteen Samantha Collins is unattractive, unpopular, unendearing, uneverything. She wakes up to a complete change on her sixteenth birthday; she's suddenly gorgeous, witty, athletic and the centre of attention. Unfortunately most of the attention she's now receiving is from masked murderers. This most miraculous of changes has turned Samantha into a slasher film 'final girl'. Suddenly her existence isn't about enduring the atrocities of school, but whether she can survive on a nightly basis as the horrors of the slasher genre clamour for a role in her life, all at once. Samantha’s world has transformed from a John Hughes social nightmare into a Wes Craven horror of deadly proportions with no sight of escape.
