An archeologist and her team explore a sacred Maori burial ground on a remote island in New Zealand. But they quickly learn the local legend about the island may not be a myth after all.

British archeologist, Jennifer Pryor is at the peak of her career when she becomes a widow. Determined to carry on living her life, she takes on a field survey project that will ultimately change her destiny!

On a remote island off the coast of New Zealand, known as an ancient Maori burial ground for chiefs, Jennifer and her team venture on to the sacred land in search of indigenous avian fossils.

But according to the legend, those who step foot on the tapu ground will be tormented by the spirits of Maori chiefs... eventually suffering an incredibly unfortunate death! In order to survive, Jennifer must figure out how to break the curse or suffer the same deadly fate as her team.
