The Butcher of Mekong

Lieutenant “Dagger” Donaldson leads a squad of NZSAS soldiers deep in country to hunt down a deadly Viet Cong ghost-assassin and discovers there are fates worse than death.

A “Glenn Jameson” FILM
WRITTEN BY Glenn Jameson

Viet Nam, 1971. Lieutenant “Dagger” Donaldson leads a squad of kickass NZSAS on a mission to hunt down a deadly Viet Cong ghost-assassin terrorising allied troops. After his radio man is abducted and found eviscerated in a tree, Dagger realises they’re the ones being hunted. Cover blown, communications severed, down to seven men, the only way home is to fight their way through 100 miles of enemy-occupied jungle. One by one they’re picked off in escalating fates worse than death. The survivors are faced with a simple choice... die or become the hunters. The relentless psychological nightmare drags reality bleeding and screaming to the edge of the paranormal abyss, and leads one of them to rock the foundations of their brotherhood.
Based on documented horror stories of the Viet Nam War, 'The Butcher of Mekong' promises to prove that non-fiction is more terrifying than fantasy.
