THE GENERATOR

A man who awakes to find himself trapped in an air shaft with no memory, attempts to put the pieces of his life together, only to unearth a horrifying secret.

A “Retinae Productions” FILM
WRITTEN BY Jason Lei Howden

A young man, Miles, finds himself trapped in a labyrinthine network of air vents with no memory of who he is or how he got there. Sustaining himself on rats and dirty water, he begins to realise he is not alone in the claustrophobic passage. Strange visions and fragmented memories progress into horrific physical attacks. His only hope is to piece together his past and identity with pages torn from a journal and scattered around the steel maze. Some pages are vandalized beyond recognition, some covered in blood.

Miles discovers that before he was trapped, he started work as a night-shift technician for the local hospital’s backup power generator, in the small town of Castlepoint. Antagonised by his malicious boss Feige and his insane day-shift co-worker Fitzroy, Miles struggles with depression and isolation as he tries to forget the tragic loss of his wife. During his long night shifts he discovers and befriends a beautiful runaway who is squatting in the endless corridors. She is the key to a terrifying conspiracy, a sinister underworld operating under the Generator.
