THE MELT PEOPLE

In a furnace of nearly 60 degrees, two social rejects must combat a vicious viscous foe and avoid the meltdown.

A “Andrew Schnetler” FILM
WRITTEN BY Andrew Schnetler

Strange things are going on in the town of Jennings Hob, and the residents think that it's not okay. An oppressive heatwave has descended and things are starting to get a little moist. Sultry days and nights have followed since a vivid solar flare briefly illuminated the town.

Power failures, electronic disruption and mechanical breakdowns are becoming an increasing problem as the humidity escalates. Our story centers on Wayne Kerr, who is on home detention after an incident involving a mollusk, three bananas, a Japanese nuclear reactor and a tube of toothpaste...

Wayne has always been the towns pariah but something here stinks, and it's not just last weeks leftovers. The attitudes and personalities of the locals seem a wee bit “off”, and somewhat menacing.

Wayne enlists the help of fellow outcast and childhood friend, Dustin, a scrapyard inventor and part-time crocodile wrestler. Together they start to uncover the putrefying truth in a cavalcade of phlegm,
bursting blood vessels, liquefying anatomy, slimy mutations and the indecent use of a garden hose.

Together they must survive the shocking horror that is...The Melt People!
