A typical Saturday morning: cartoons, computer games, coco puffs... But where have mum and dad gone? Travis and his little sister Marley are bemused and excited that their parents are nowhere to be found. No bedtimes, no growlings, no vegetables. But as fatigue and hunger set in they soon realise it’s quite possible that mum and dad might not be coming back.
Exploring their abandoned suburb and city, which appears hauntingly quiet without explanation, they stumble across Arjun in the local dairy who joins them on their search for adults, any adults, anywhere. What they quickly learn is that they are not alone. Strange noises and movements follow them and a near deadly experience makes clear to them that they are being hunted. As the children struggle to navigate the treacherous landscape, innocence is sacrificed and the new game is how to stay alive.
