Pastor Greg and his wife Connie agree to let five young offenders accompany them on a spiritual journey into the New Zealand wilderness. Hoping that God and practical survival experience will deter them from their path to prison, the Pastor dispenses with protocol and takes them on an unplanned tiki tour of the dense bush.
When the most headstrong and psychologically damaged of the delinquents has a confrontation with the Pastor, the group finds themselves separated and struggling with the unforgiving terrain.
Desperately tired and hungry, they are relieved when they happen upon a man living in an old secluded house, but they quickly learn that there are more terrifying places to live out the rest of their short lives than prison.
