Time-Travelling Zombies

When all humans have been wiped out, the remaining zombie hoards return to the past to feast upon a whole new food supply.

In the not too distant future, a select group of astrophysicists attempt to open a portal to bridge between two points in time. However through a series of mistakes, they unleash an overwhelming inter-dimensional force that wipes out and destroys most of earth’s population. The completely devastated earth is over-run by a horde of undead that now roam the earth in search of human flesh. Eventually all the remaining uninfected are killed or turned. With a completely dried up food supply, the zombies also begin to die off and turn on each other. Much time passes. A group of zombies then come upon the same portal device that caused the extinction of the human race to begin with. It is very easily activated and a portal is created bridging a passage from this future to current day. Now a whole new food supply is available for them as a hoard of undead lay waste to an isolated town.
