It is now five years since the zombie epidemic and three years since someone created a cure but the cure is expensive. New Zealand, like many other countries could only afford so much. Most of the remaining zombies have been rounded up and placed in temporary holding cells.
Kit, a former zombie, is one of many containment officers keeping an eye on the undead. She is trying her hardest to move on with her new life and ignore the main side effect of the cure. You remember everything that happened and everything you did while you were a zombie.
Kit is trying her hardest to deal with her memories and save up enough money to find and hopefully cure her brother, but between the government raids, the unexplained disappearances of the prisoners and the compulsory post-zombie support groups nothing seems to be going her way. Added to this her newfound taste for human flesh and she's beginning to wonder how much the cure really worked...
